Ben was a core member of the LSF Leeds fixed community. He was out on group rides every week and was partying every weekend from 2008 until he moved over to Manchester, although always remained a regular face around LS6.
Like Johnny says, this guy was a beast of a rider. There was no chance beating him up any hill and he won many of the races and events we put on back in the day. When out-of-towners would come up for a race and ask who's wheel was best to follow, Treanor was our top reply.
Kind, loving, fun and generous - this guy was a rare breed.
The LSF crew has suffered an unfathomable loss but the support everyone continues to show demonstrates what a great person he was and how close we all remain.

Some young people make a big contribution in a small amount of time to the people around them; more than some of us manage in a whole life-time....I didn't know Ben but clearly he's one of them. Thoughts.............................................

Sorry to read this news.RIP.
Rider down.
With great sadness and many fond memories, it's goodbye to our friend Ben Treanor @shibbylibertine who made his final ascent over the weekend after a long battle with illness.
A great cyclist and all round good guy, he'll be seriously missed by anyone who met him.
