  • 8 speed shimano on a campagnolo hub? is the cassette campy? does it shift smoothly, i've heard of problems occurring doing this normally, but it looks great and sounds interesting!

  • I'll find out tomorrow and let you know... I and sure the cassette in campagnolo...

  • 8 speed campy spaced 5mm, 8speed sram-shimano spaced 4.8mm, 8speed sachs spaced 5mm.

BUT some aftermarket 8speed shimano-sram "compatible" cassettes (sunrace, bbb, miche) are also spaced 5.0mm.

8speed shifters-derailleurs can handle this. Simply, the high-low limit screws will determine the range in which the derailleur will travel, and this little imperfection is bypassed via the lateral play in the derailleur's jockey wheels.

    trust me, it works :)

  • Thank you for the accurate and technical knowledge... really appreciate this. Best! cc

  • Cassette is Campagnolo and runs smoothly all round. cheers! cc
