Tommasini Campagnolo Bottom Bracket!

Posted on
  • So, I have received a bike I bought off the 'bay and the chainset is dangerously close to the frame! The current bottom bracket is a Italian thread Chorus 102mm cartridge bb, so I think for my double ring chainset I would need a 113mm bb.

Would anyone now specifically what bb length I need for a double ring Campy Daytona chainset? And does anyone have any Campagnolo bb do sell or give away?

I'm gona be running a 9 speed Veloce rear derailleur and brifters.

  • A 109 or 111 Campag BB will do the job.

  • 111mm.

You can get Centaur or Veloce new.

  • Thanks guys. Any feedback on the Centaur/Veloce bottom brackets? Are they easy to service?

  • They're sealed, you don't service them.

  • Ah I see. If the bb is italian threading, would that mean the headset is also italian thread?

  • I don't know for certain, but I would think it likely: see here for more info.

PS If you hadn't noticed, although the Veloce BB is a little cheaper it requires a specific tool to fit, whereas the Centaur uses the regular Campag cassette tool.

  • Ah thanks for the tips bro. I'm gona check out the Cetaur bb. Hopefully there are some available somewhere. I don't want to wait more to ride my bike.

  • this is the Centaur bb right? Do these come in silver by any chance?
