  • These came up on eBay. Can't start anything but some drawings just yet...

  • Result. Love a good Walrus build.

  • Tubes and drawings are as good a start as any.
    Subbed.

  • Uh oh spaggettio...

  • I had an idea...

  • 753 with carbon rear end would be unique

  • I just hope there isn't a really good reason for that!

  • You best do some research.

  • No reason at all, especially as the steel tubes you'll be bonding into won't be 753 so it's mostly irrelevant. Great project.

  • Subbed. Looking forward to seeing what becomes of this!!

  • Me too.

    Subbed.

  • Lugged head-tube and seat-tube/top-tube, Cycle Design Fillet Pro for low temp. fillets for BB and seat stay wishbone. Going for an early 90's 8 or 9 speed low-pro TT (but with old man saddle-bar drop) kind of thing.

  • Shouldn't a lo-pro be fixed. Looks like an interesting build.

  • Consider reversing the colours so it's red at the head tube.
Bikes look lots better and faster with the dark in the front.

  • There was a huge tradition of lo-pro TT bikes from the 80's and early 90's too - probably before and since as well, but that seems to be the boom years, after that it became all about the aero-bars, and keeping a flat top-tube while road bikes started sloping the other way. Probably some UCI regulation changes. (And I have two fixed gears already).

  • Finally got to do something...

  • Loving the look of this!

  • Some brazing, not the most beautiful, but I think it will be okay. I leave such long gaps between frames, that I have to learn all over again, every time. The Fillet-Pro low temp. silver based braze for fillets is pretty good, if a little weird at first. Took a few goes to get proper feeling for it. I cheated on the extra bit of tube for the triple-triangle. The mitering was awful, the tear shape is a pain to work with. It was a little (a lot) gappy, so I use the epoxy resin I'll be using to bond the carbon in with, with a little extra filler, to fix it. It's largely cosmetic, so I figure I'll get away with this:
