Kids on the track

I am up for taking my four old Imogen along to one of these Saturday sessions. She rides a pedal bike, so not the strider session.

Which ones have you guys been to? Do they get to ride the banking?

  • Mine are in the older session (8-15) and we didn't start till a couple of years ago, so can't tell you much about the small ones, I'm afraid. Do they keep those going through the winter? Obv at 4 Imogen's still a way from the older sessions, but there are definitely younger kids in there (certainly 7 yr olds) - depends on size a lot. (There was a hysterically small kid spinning round a couple of weeks back - had all the energy but the ratio was so tiny he was barely moving).

Over the summer, for the first time since we've been going, there were a couple of weeks when people were being turned away it got so busy, which is great to see (if a bit manic on the track). Back to being a little quieter now. I drag mine along through the winter too (while I read the paper and have a coffee/bacon sarnie).

  • They are running the frog bike sessions for 4-7 year olds throughout winter, weather dependent.
Every Saturday from 13:00 - 14:00. £3 per child with hire bikes available for an extra £1
They aren't allowed on the track but they do use the polo court and the junior track in the middle. It's so funny to see some of them racing around

  • Cool. I'll try to get down for the frog sess. Not this week, but hopefully the 14th.

  • Anybody want that bike?

  • Not a brilliant track set-up there Ludwig!

  • I'll be taking my two to the Saturday 11am session this Saturday, weather permitting.
