You should paint the rear to match the front. Points for lairy colours/graphics.

Olmo? Though any Olmo low pros I've seen have the seat stays joining the top tube past the seat tube?

Does it have the same cable routing.
BB cutout could have been done by a frame builder after a repair. Paint may not be OG due to lack of decals so may be a possibility?
Chainstays on the battagin above are crazy.

Yes that Battaglin has great looking chainstays.
Mine has internal cable routing but quite nicely done angled holes not with the little guide lugs. -

pics of down tube/BB joint, rear brake bridge, seat stay cluster, chain stay bridge (if there is one), and rear drop out would be nice to see

Hi Rive_Gauche Here are some pics -No Chainstay Bridge.
Thanks

that seat stay arrangement is very classy, but is at odds with an in-house guerciotti, because:
if a true guerciotti i would expect stampings on the BB shell and an elongated star pointing backwards:
plus stampings on brake bridge:

That Colnago paint on the front wheel makes that wheel pretty collectible. You'd fetch good money for that on Ebay, enough to buy you another Ambrosio 650c front and have some spare money.

Please don't paint over that beauty, agreed you could swap/sell it for a different one that needs a repaint. I kinda love that Italian flag thing going on.

A shame were on opposite sides of the globe
I have an Ambrosio front disc I could have swapped with you to save that cool paint schemeAlso, depending on how much you're going to lop from the steerer, it might pay to have the steerer threaded before you cut it
Just makes it that little bit easier for the die to work when there's already thread to help it get started
Not a huge issue but, I like it that way when cutting new thread -
