what an utter c*nt. Hope he gets jail time.

  • I wouldn't usually advocate vigilante justice, but I'd make an exception for this piece of shit.

  • Violence is never the solution.

    Cyclist is annoying tho.

'Please don't push me off' on passing ped.

Then flipping bird when he tells her to shut up.

Provocation also has no part on the road imo.

There is a nutter on my commute who shouts at anyone over taking.

I have given her some advice from time to time.

Some people seem to attract incidents.

    #justsayin

  • Yeah she deserved it for being annoying.

  • See you said that. Not me. Don't be a Dick.

    I am not condoning violence.

I am suggesting provocation has no place on the road.

No matter what Road user you are.

  • I was born ginger so I gotta avoid mouthing off.

  • Is your Gamboy still fir sale doe?

  • I am suggesting provocation has no place on the road.

To some drivers and pedestrians, cyclists are annoying.
The idiots are brainwashed by the Daily Mail and Clarkson.
Provocation is already there just by being on a bike and daring to take any space on the road. Some drivers want you to cycle in the gutter and some pedestrians walk out in front of you because to them you are a red light jumping pavement riding tax dodger.

  • Was that bleet relevant? I'm sure to some cyclists, drivers and peds are annoying. Sorry if I missed something.

  • I wonder if the person in the black van got out behind. They should of punched his lights out but then if he picks on a female lone cyclist whats his worth ? Not much

  • That's the answer. Violence!? Let's have some more bias pls.

  • Ok send him to a safe haven of proportionality on tax payers money.

  • a save haven of proportionality

    A what now?

  • Greenwich banshee?

  • So he's crossing the road and she doesn't stop or slow down, but says "Please don't push me off." as she buzzes him.

    Have I missed something?

  • An eye for an eye innit?

    Shit just got Biblical.

  • ^^^ No. Surbiton Siren.

  • "Please don't push me off."

I thought that was a really random thing to say. I wonder if she's been pushed off before, or he was acting shifty or something. Assuming every ped who comes close to you is aiming to harm you comes across as pretty paranoid. Although in this case he did turn out to be a scumbag. Maybe she's just a really good judge of character.

  • She actually says 'please don't try and knock me off', presumably because he's about to walk out in front of her.
I feel sorry for her but you can't give someone the finger, if she in fact did, and be surprised if they kick off. To her he was a total stranger so you're playing Russian roulette.

  • A dab on the brakes and 'after you' would seem to have been more appropriate, there appears to have been plenty of time. This in no way exonerates him for being a total arsehole.

  • She had a car behind her, I wouldn't stop randomly and trust following drivers not to rear-end me. The gentleman who doesn't clean his teeth properly didn't walk out in front of the two cars, he waited for the rider then changed direction to walk towards her, that's why she called out, he was going to shoulder charge her.

Drivers and peds don't have the venom directed toward then that cyclists do, endless jokes about squashing, stabbing, running over or strangling cyclists end up polluting the general psyche so you get bellends like this bloke causing aggro.

  • Shoulder Charge? WTF!? You watching something else?

This is like reading the Mail.

    @Scilly.Suffolk got it bang on.

  • Leaving aside the bloke's disproportionate response, I have to say

he waited for the rider then changed direction to walk towards her, that's why she called out, he was going to shoulder charge her

I don't see any of this.

  • ^Just re-watched, for the umpteenth time, to make sure that you and Scilly are right; you are.

  • What do you call it when someone with their arm crossed over their body walks directly towards where you're riding to? She could see his intent and summed him up as a low-life cyclist hater, his subsequent actions showed she was dead right. He wanted to hurt her from the first second. Saying "Please don't hurt me" isn't any sort of provocation, if there was a raised finger it was in response to tombstone teeth shouting "shut up".
