CX frameset, around 57cm

Posted on
  • Hi folks,

Just testing the water here. I'm toying with the idea of building my very first cx bike. I generally find that road frames around 57cm are best for me. Although the ones I have do range from 56 to 60.
Should I look for a frameset that is the same size, or allow a little for crown jewels clearance?
Interested to know what you may have for sale, too. Canti only please.
    Thanks,

    Mike

  • Hi,

My Ti Van Tuyl (sprayed as a Caygill) might suit you.
After £370 for frame and forks. It's approx 56 square - you generally want to size down a little on CX bikes.

Frame is in good nick - some paint has been removed where the front mech attaches along with some cable rub in places and the headset could do with new bearings - I was planning on getting it blasted back to raw Ti but never got round to it.

  • is it still for sale

  • Mine? No it sold on eBay at the weekend

  • I have a Cotic x bike to sell.
