• FS: French col de cynge frameset from way back when. It's probably from just avant ou apres le guerre. It had one of those nice cycle tax plates (Marie Helene Vaissiere, Glacier du Perrier, Cahors). The frameset comes with mudguards, mismatched pedals - one original, the other a Lyotard platform. It's a nice-looking thing with great patina. Photos show it with 26" wheels and original French Dunlop saddle. It had Sova Sport brakes (which may help with dating it). I reckon it's an ancient Peugeot. I'm after £60 for it.

Also, early 1950s Rudge Pathfinder 531 frameset with bad, flaky paint and stuck handlebar stem and cottered chainset. It's 21 inches. Take it away for £20?

  • oh, and thanks to NorthernLight for the tip about loosening seatposts - I may never drink coke again :-)

  • Like the Rudge, but postage will be more then the bike...

  • Man, I kind of love that French thing. Does it weigh a ton?

  • Not at all. It's decent quality and not heavy, which again makes me think it's a pug.
