Up for sale is my Look KG221 frame, Look size 59 or L which equates to 58c-c on both top and seat tube.
One of the first of Look's carbon bikes, it features carbon tubes for the top, down and seat tubes, with alloy stays and forks. It is surprisingly light for its age, knocking its steel contemporaries out of the metaphorical ballpark.
I originally had this built up with a mix of Chorus/Record 10 speed and it looked like this -
It was a lot of fun to ride until I ran out of money.
At which point I intended to sell everything, save for the frameset, which I couldn't bring myself to part with. Consequently parts were stripped, and parts were sold as and when required. Until I came to the Chorus carbon chainset that is, which it transpired had a stripped thread on the driveside. Balls. So there it has remained ever since, attached to a lovely Campagnolo Record carbon 102mm BB. Worth mentioning is that the non driveside threads are in good nick and the arm is easily removed.
I always meant to commit more time to removing it, but then set up the bike as a town cruiser with flat pedals and swept back bars, and rode it like that for a while. As it is now, I need to clear space due to moving flat, and already have another three bikes to take with me. So, this has to go. It could be used as is though the chainset is missing one bolt - or given some time I'm sure it would be easy enough to remove the stripped crank - a hack saw and an hour or so would get through it. The BB itself is in excellent condition.
Beyond this, the frame has various scrapes and scratches, commensurate with its age. Also, something else worth mentioning is that there appears to be some compression to the carbon tubing underneath the non driveside braze on boss, though this has shown no sign of worsening in the hundreds of miles I've put the frame through.
Also included are the Mirage headset, and a 25mm alloy seatpost. I could throw in some drop bars too, also for free.
Regarding price, how does £85 sound? Collected from Brixton or thereabouts. Thanks!
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot

For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Your code goes here
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
If you upload more than 5 files we will display all attachments as thumbnails.
