  • Hi, Up for sale with regret but have to fund a house move,my Concorde Aquila. An absolutely stunning bike, quick, stable and beautiful to look at the frame and forks are perfectly straight, the chrome is excellent. Rear stays are pencil thin beautiful curved tubing, off white to black fade paint with only minor blemishes and very rare bar fade tape to match just lovely.

I know I will regret selling this as bike but circumstances sometimes get in the way, so to the spec this is how the bike looks now and this is how it will be sold. It does have a 650 tubular wheel as well as the clincher thats on at the moment. This has a good tub and a brand new tub to be included in the sale, I was going to get a rear to match the front but that is not going to happen now.

You can find the full build here in CP https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/261829/

The bike is running a mix of
Dura Ace cranks, brake,s, BB, shifters (the chain rings are not DA)
    Mavic bars
    Look pedals
    Modolo areo levers
    Cinelli stem
Campag 27mm aero seat post( I was going to change this to DA)
Hed Stinger rear 90mm carbon aero rear and Continetal sprinter tub
Cxp14 rim on Shimano hub (this was going to be rebuilt onto a Hed hub)
    New Cables inner and outer

    Sizes
    59cm ST
    56.5/57cm TT

I am 5'10" and this was at the top of my limit but I ride Lo Pro,s from 53 cm ST to this one at 59cm ST they are not so easy to accurately size. I find they either suit or they don't, I am happy for viewing and riding obviously and with PP gift or cash after you have ridden and decided you happy with the bike. I will not split at the moment or post abroad. I am not entirely happy to post in this country as I want the buyer to see and ride the bike before purchase.

Price wise £500 ovno>>>>>>>>> Now 180 please see below

Now frame/forks and stem/bars please ignore the above as just what the bike looks like built

Any q,s please ask if I have left anything out again ask and if you want to view ride then let me know and we can arrange. I am in Essex on the Cambridge line or 5mins from the M11 Harlow junction, cheers guys.

    Andy

  • Interested if you decide to split!

  • ^What are you interested in?

  • The frame! Looks a beaut. Possibly the cockpit also.

  • Dito frameset

  • Hi, no longer for sale.

    Cheers Andy

  • Omg it is sold... what a good price

  • No, not sold had a think and realised I would regret selling this bike so will re-build with Mavic parts. This has to be the best bike I have ever owned or ridden and I have owned a lot of nice bikes but none ride like this one.

    Andy

  • How much was it for selling?

  • £500

    Andy

  • I wanna buy it. If you change your mind, let me know please

  • Good move. Lovely bike

  • ^ Yeah almost a momentary lapse of reason, just pulled it back in time looking forward to using it for the London classic next year

  • Good decision to keep :)

  • So 4 years down the line and decided to sell as frame, forks and a bar/stem combo. Some recent pics below, ITA BB by the way and looking for £180.

  • Hi, a few questions, I am guessing the stack height is very small ? any idea what tubing, I know it has Columbus decals on fork but is there an actual legible tubing decal ? Finally, what stem and bars ? We are based in Essex also, Writtle ( ish )

  • You are welcome to have a look if you wish, have no idea what you mean about stack height though. Stamped Columbus on the rear hangers, there is a tubing decal but can't make it out.
Stem and bars can be seen on the blue lo pro I have for sale

  • I believe the tubing on these was Columbus SL with a 27.0 seatpost

  • Where are you based?

  • Hi Essex, I work at Chelsea and Westminster hospital, so can meet cental line Epping or the hospital

  • Earliest I cane meet is Tuesday - what time do you start / finish work?
