A friend pointed me to this website and they seem reasonably priced. I'm after a set of silver single speed wheels for my town bike/commuter. Does anyone rate this company, or have an alternative?

Yes, I've bought 2 pairs of their "SSC Workhorse" wheelsets directly from Matt. Nothing flash, just good value strong (Chinese IIRC) wheels IME. I use both sets on my commuter bike but not at the same time, arf arf arf. One pair have Tannus solids on and the other Lunar Landing Craft tyres aka 32C Gatorskins. Both are used for lengthy commutes and weekend rides. They've been great.

Yep. I bought workhorse wheelset a couple of years ago plus bottom bracket for my workhorse bike. Well built and pretty robust.
