Makeshift 1x10 speed with omniums? Will it work?

Wanted to build a bit of a rat bike for city riding.
Would I be able to run omniums and the standard chainring they come with in a 10 speed setup? As in with a 10 speed cassette and rear mech. I imagine comparability issues are with the chain and the chainring?
Any way around this?

Standard chainring is 1/8", so you'll have to change it to 3/32".
