I just tried this weekend this product on my tubulars rims as I wanted to try the Effetto Mariposa tape instead of the usual mastic.
The rims were bought used and had old mastic on it and I didn't clean them before putting new mastic on it.
Then I had a flat and bought new tougher tubulars to put on and didn't like the idea of spending days putting glue, letting it cure and so on.
Thus looked online and found this Effetto Mariposa take which looks fantastic, so I went for it, but they suggest to have a clean rim and, of course, here they have the Carogna remover (as an Italian I love the name!)
It's also not dangerous and doesn't smell bad.
So off I went, put it on, let it work for a few hours and bam, the old stuck mastic was gone in a few minutes with just a passing of a rag!
Amazing stuff. Can't wait now to put the tape on and see if it is up to the same standard as this solvent.
Don't look at the video, my stuff come out VERY easily and didn't need a rounded screwdriver to remove it.
