Also Syntace P6 hiflex. Conventional carbon post that is designed to bend. Provides about 2-3cm of give. I have them on both my hardtails and they are very effective - as in make a HT viable for riding roots for 12hrs
What diameter do you need?

Got a Cobl Goblr. I can't tell any difference in terms of comfort but it does have a large set-back which is good for the Adamo saddle I use. The weird shape loses you a lot of seatpost so if you run saddle bags or lights or clip-on mudguards I'm not sure I'd bother with it. Also it's expensive. ~£130

Anyone know the difference between these S-Works posts:
Basically their "Pave SL" compared to their normal road post?

I've got a bad back, which fucks up when mountain biking on my hardtail, so I'd thought I'd try out one of those USE Vybe posts that are going cheap on Ebay. It's great. Back is much better, can ride for longer, and faster, and the post doesn't seem to bounce at all. Barely notice it.

I swapped my Tomson for the Gobl-R on the ultra bike.
Again, no idea if it makes any difference but it can't hurt. Also bought a USE road suspension post like Wilko and Jilko use but it doesn't allow Di2 in the post so I never got around to working around it so it's still unused at home.

Anyone used a Ritchey FlexLogic post?
I've got a Ergon CF3 on the bike at the moment but the setback means I'm using all my saddle rails up so a lot of bumps is going to push the saddle nose forward over time. Ergon don't make a zero setback post any more so thought one of these might do the trick instead.

I have a Syntace P6 Hiflex on my MTB and it is amazing. Worth the money.

I bought it from there, it was a little cheaper at the time.
it's only a little more than a normal carbon post after all -
• #11
Yeah, but I've already spent £160 on a post I might replace :S

Anyone know the torque limits on USE suspension seatposts?
EDIT: Any upgrades on 3.5Nm mentioned here

Anyone tried suspension/dropper post combos? Looks like a good way to get my TT saddle out of the way plus some cush but reading the reviews, maybe not.

Speaking of new eeSilk posts, look who's favourite fat fuck grabbed himself one for the G-rave-L bike...
-
• #18
does the flex in that 'more' than VCLS?
-
• #19
It flexes more than the COBL GOBLR it replaced. Not sure about the split post. That's on the Mason so gets less in the way of impacts.

I've seen 'boots' for Cane Creek MTB posts but has anyone seen boots/covers for eeSilk posts?
-
• #21
I really like my Cobble Gobbler, how much heavier is that CC?
-
• #22
Probably "a lot" but bike weight is pretty irrelevant to me.
"the old 27.2 eeSilk weighed 295 grams and the new one tips the scales at 345g. The 27.2mm carbon version is 350mm long and weighs 295g. The 31.6mm aluminum and carbon options are 350 and 305 grams, respectively."
-
• #23
CGR is 260g, so 35g lighter than the posh eeSilk and 85g lighter than the new cheaper one.
-
• #24
Well I just ordered a eeSilk, we will see how it goes.

Which one? When you get it, undo the elastomer retaining bolt and loctite it in. Mine fell out after less than 100k off-road and they had to send me a replacement.
Probably not a common topic on a primarily road-based skiddah forum but anyone use a susser post of any type on their road bike?
I've been think about trying to minimise the gooch battering I get on long rides in Pothole Britain and although I don't want a full-on suspension post what about on of these COBL GOBL-R posts that flex 18mm? Or the Canyon split posts with about 20mm travel?
