looking out for a steel 1inch track frame in my size
SOLD
Hi lufguss,
Those familiar with my "Duratec Tarck" CP thread would be aware that I was going to be selling my prized Barry Chick at some point, for the simple reason that Baz was just too nice for me to be taking him into battle every day.
Barry Chick made custom frames and did a lot of work with Alan Shorter. The craftsmanship is always of a high standard and his frames were usually made from pretty interesting tube sets, this one being no exception.
Top Tube: 53cm CTC
Seat Tube: 53CTT
Tubing: Reynolds 753, fully lugged.
Headset: Campagnolo Record
Seriously nice features all around; Reynolds bottom bracket cluster, phantographed seat stays, beautiful fork crown, painted decals and some rad clearances for 23c at maximum.
The frame has never seen a wet day, there's a Shimano BB in there at the moment that I was going to replace with a Record Pista but I haven't taken it out yet. There's no rust in the BB shell and all the threads are perfect. Very few small paint chips around but no dings/dents anywhere.
It's nicest frame I've ever had or ridden, the frame is beautifully balanced, corners really responsively and is stiff enough to take all of the watts while still managing to be super comfy.
Baz needs a good home, you can give him a good home if you give me SOLD.
Collection from New Cross, I live 30 seconds from the station, cash on collection.
Dibs+PM please :)
