wheeled?

Looks good thought the gumwalls imo are too bright to go with the red.
What are you thinking paint wise? -

Looks nice but would look awful with those gumwalls I think.

conti ultra race is my choice for it. -

Oh yah. Thought the caption above the image said 'wheels'.
If we are throwing ideas around:

Maybe go from a midnight blue to aqua or something, Any chance of something really subtle in the paint so it has like a dark sparkle finish?
-
• #10
i'd like to use 3 metallic tones of blue, have to visit paint shop soon. definitely midnight blue, but aqua may be to bright.
dropouts first, they need to be changed for track, stainless ones. -

Personally the top image with the orange is rather brutal. The black to blue looks nice in the second and third image though I think would only work with an aero frame. The last one is nice.
Personally I'd go for a subtle dark to light blue fade with yellow decals. Or, if you figured out how to do it, a pearlescent kind of thing that shifts in certain places form dark to light blue dependant on your viewpoint with yellow decals.
You must be able to do metal flakes with your spray gun, right? Dunno if you want to. Personally Metal flakes should be reserved for an NJS frame.
Are you going to leave a hangar on?
Blue Pearlescent thing from a moser:

No flakes, plain metallic paint.
I hate yellow ;). Example with Razesa frame is the lead. Yet i'm thinking about scheme i've made with this moser
Definately gradient in blue tones faded with orange to cut off with white.
I wasn't thinking about decals yet. Have to figure it out.

i was thinking, maybe horizontal lines? due to top tube?
some examples?

Is that moser yours too?
^^That skeme would look good. But please, before you commit to blue and orange just take a second to consider the incredibly fresh blue to pink fade like below.
^ To me the horizontal lines are too contemporary. Only ever seen them on those modern road bikes and never really care for them.
Personally I would go for an old style paint job (moser paint skeme) with modern components (the components you already have ) overall having a not vintage or contemporary look.

Moser is not mine, but yes, it was painted by me.
After few years with one bike, month ago, finally, i've sold my pink bike. It's time for sth new.I really like that scheme:

Horizontal lines are definitely a cool idea but in reality they never really look horizontal due to the round tubing. I mean look at that first Speedvagen. Maybe some Merckx inspired swooshes suit your taste?

Avoid the orange line and its perfect
-

If you wanna keep the orange then do the one you suggested at the top. Fades along the tube equals much rad and would work with the frame IMO.
What @heldrig said that it'll be hard to make the line look horizontal. It looks flat in paint cause...its paint. And personnaly it'll look to contemporary.Out of the two sketches, the bottom one looks much better.
Obvs its your decision in the end, I'm just saying what I see.

new arrivals
black
or
with black ring there is one little issue, it's too thick:

i agree that razesa scheme is the best, here's another one, i think it suits me best
i will consider one more option: white fork, head tube, top tube with blue rest of the frame (maybe some bright orange small details).
-
• #24
I'd go black chainring.
I was going to suggest that picture. I wouldn't go with the latest idea though I am finding it hard to visualise.

sth like that (with rear triangle painted) and orange? decals
black chainring rocks.
since i've sold my everyday bike i had to use some stupid geared cx/touring/road hybrid.
but now sth completely different. it won't be vintage lookin, it won't be contemporary. modern i'd say.
wheels:
cranks:
frame:
yes it will be repainted. and yes i'll change it for track dropouts.
