• Hi all,

I have started a new thread as the other one was all over the shop and I am now splitting.

I have been meaning to sell my Dolan Seta (56cm) for a while as it has been hugging valuable locker space at HHV. I finally went to pick it up last weekend so it is ready to be re-homed. Geometry of the Seta is quite unusual but it is hands down my favourite bike around the velodrome. Not sure why Dolan ever stopped producing it, such a brilliant bike. FYI It is set up for me at 5ft10.5 and I am not very flexible.

The Dolan spec is pretty decent and this is my only bike that has not made it into the anti-porn thread so that's a good sign ;-)

    1. Dolan Seta 56cm UD carbon frame - I have used 3M 3k carbon look
stickers to hide the Dolan branding as they are as bad as look when
it comes to branding. Only used on the track - 2 small marks from careless VCL locker users (one on TT and one near rear DS dropout). Brand new FSA headset with carbon spacers.
    2. WoundUp Road forks 1 1/8- Drilled for brakes and carbon steerer with usual steel insert - #HHSB points.
    3. Thomson Elite X2 90mm stem / Elite 31.8mm inline seatpost
    4. Easton EC90 carbon track drops with new tape. Scratch marks under the tape due to a tumble from the previous owner
    5. FSA carbon 165mm track cranks with matching PowerPro BB - 49T chainring - KMC Devil gold chain
    6. Campagnolo Pista Track wheels with recent Vittoria EVO CORSA CX front tub and brand new rear (both with 80mm extensions), 3 non-Campag bladed spokes on the front wheel. 15T Dura-Ace rear sprocket + Campagnolo track lockring.
    7. No pedals or saddle with the bike but it can be arranged by negotiation. Happy to leave the speedometer.

I was after £950 -> £900 for the full bike but since no-one is interested, it is time to split!

    Prices are as follows:
*Frame (with Seat Clamp) = £350 SOLD
    Forks = £100 SOLD
    Frame+Forks+new headset=£400 SOLD
    Chainset+BB+KMC Devil Chain = £175
Wheelset with lockring and DA sprocket and tubs = £300
    Thomson finishing kit = £75
    EC90 Track bars = £75*

The bike has always been kept indoor and can be seen in Brixton.

    Any questions, please ask.

    Photos to be added shortly!

  • What are you after for the frame?

  • Slip hop salve biek

  • Forgot to put the split prices... Now updated.
£350 for the frame - I will remove all stickers and polish it nicely.

  • what is the rake on them forks and how much steerer is left please?

  • They are the standard road ones so probably 46mm.
Steerer is too long for the Seta at 240mm

  • Oh god! Good price on the frame + forks.

  • And you get a free headset... I will actually include both original Alpina headset and FSA headset.

I also have spare 3T Funda Pro 'Replica' forks in white which look much more beefier and suit the frame better. (But what do I know, all my bikes end up in anti)

  • You're asking £350 for the frame only without the forks... Come off it Vince.

    Poor form of late pal.

  • You can have a 10% previous owner discount James ;-)

  • Now now Vince,

I've never once commented on the overpriced, poorly set up gas pipe bikes you buy in France and sell on here for profit, have I?

You are missing my point anyway. My gripe is; that you can't be bothered to reply to my PM when I called you out privately - Hence why I have said something here.

  • Sold mine for £575 a year ago. Yes some parts on this are better but not £325 better. I'd take the frame if it was cheaper.

  • You guys seem to know the current values.
What is the suggested price for a good used frame then?

  • Vince, I think the price of your frame is realistically keen but in keeping with pricing of Setas of late. Of course there is value to someone for this given the scarcity of such a desirable frame no longer produced. Chuck in a bottle of your finest with it...!

  • What happened to the edge forks?

  • I saw a frameset selling on here for £450 so thought £350 for frame alone was decent and £400 for frame+WoundUp forks was a great price.

I had loads of interest in the WoundUps so I am dealing with PMs now.

  • They have been sold separately.

  • I'm not saying it's purposefully overpriced, just that they seem to be going cheaper than that. I guess demand will naturally dictate any price drops. Like I said, i'd take it if it was the right price for me. But I can't dictate that.

    GLWS :)

  • If they haven't sold already, what is the steerer width of the forks?

  • I paid £12o for my Seta frame :)

  • Whats up with this Trek frame? Is it for sale?

  • Seta <3

  • I will buy it back from you for £60 ;-)

  • indra'd frames don't count

  • i think 300ish is acceptable for a 500 rrp frame no longer in production which has only been used at the track. @6pt should buy it
