Bob Jackson Vigorelli any good?

Happy Easter fellow bikers =)

I'm putting together a steel lugged fixed bike to replace my very good but uninspiring Fuji Track Classic. I'm going for a new lugged build and like the look of Bob J Vig, anyone have any experience with the brand?

Something else that stood out was the Brother Reynolds 725, same question for Brother brand.

Nothing wrong with a Vigorelli. I've had mine for years and love it.

BJ frames are very good value for British handbuilt frames, especially if you go for their OTP range. Their Hetchins inspired Vulcan looks great.

OTP Range, Hetchins? All new to me, what's special about that?

OTP = off the peg, not custom built. Actually BJs are built to order but using their standard dimensions. It's all on their website.

Hetchins = a particular brand of frames. Has some history behind it.

The lovely chaps at Fitrovia cycles helped get me a BJ.

Yeah i was going to head over to Fitzrova cycles as they stock both the Brother and Bob Jackson. Seeing is believing! =)

the current quality of the brand certainly isn't up to their historical reputation. ordered two world tours (OTP) for me and the missus, they messed up the paint on one, the colour we chose was discontinued so rather than telling us they decided to paint it a completely different colour. on the other it was the fork, the ends were at different heights!

pretty shoddy, and to top it off it took a fair bit of nagging to get them to sort both out. however in the end they did, and both are (now) great.

I sat on the same dilemma for some time (also throw-in and ruled out a export frame) for the many reasons went for the Bob better paint more 631 flex forks intended to have a brake not fancying OS tubing and then the upgrades, arrowhead lug and 725 triangle, after which it hit £blah & no complains // also no toe over lap 73º head angle I missed that at first
