What's the etiquette with bumping classifieds threads?
Aaanyway. I'm off for a couple of days so people should look at this over their Easter eggs and dribble.

Dropping the price to £550.

geometry? (+stem length?)

top tube: 575mm (huh, more like a 58 then)
seat tube 600mm
chainstay 420mm

If you end up splitting I could be interested in the askiums

That is so cute good luck with sale

Someone with long torso would be better off on this bike. 60cm toptube with 120mm stem, that's long.
Very neat looking bike.

Yeah, it does feel long for me - I'm 6'1" and ride a 58 with a 100mm stem normally. I guess you could always put a shorter stem on though.

If you do part out I'll take the gruppo.
Looks like you've got offers for everything but the frame (which is a beauty, by the way).
-
• #12
I've been offered £450 offline, so before I let it go too cheaply, anyone want to make me a better offer?
-
• #13
Pretty sure you can't turn this into an auction.
-
• #14
Apologies, not trying to turn it into an auction; but since it was offered here first, seems a bit off to remove it from sale without any last chance offers.

Fair enough :)
NOW SOLD
For sale is my beloved Neil Orrell. Prettiest bike I've ever owned, maybe will ever own, but it's too precious to be locked up on the pavement and not as fast as the carbon bikes, so it sits around the house, looking pretty, annoying my GF.
It's 531 steel, and I assume like all Orrell builds would have been a custom frame for someone back in the day. The gruppo is Campag Daytona - what is now called Centaur due to a trademark infringement. Standard (52/39) double up front, 11-26 at the back. The front mech, for some reason, is Chorus.
The wheels are Mavic Aksiums, with conti Gatorskins on them. Both are in very decent nick.
Tips the scales at 9.855kg, which I reckon is pretty light for a 531 bike.
There's a few scuffs and chips I'm afraid - it has been locked outside a few times and sadly some bastards aren't as careful with their locks as I am when locking up next to it. Oh well. The decals are looking tired in a couple of places too.
Overall though, it's such a lovely thing. Look at the lugs! The shimmer of the paint! The shine of the chrome! Can you tell I'm not all that keen on the idea of selling it?
Really hard to know what it's worth, but I'm asking
£575£550 based on similar sales on this site. Do let me know if I'm way off on price here.... unless I'm underselling, in which case shut up and give me your money. If the buyer prefers, I've got its original wheels too - a set of Mavic CXP30s. But they're tubs, which is why I'm not using them. Immaculate though can't guarantee the tyres aren't a bit old and past it just due to rubber fatigue.
Any questions, insults, whatever - let me know.
Oh, based in SE15 so pickup from here or near.
