My first proper bike was a Carlton Continental 5spd, one day i might find another, that red racer is why i like lugged steel frames, so get the mindset of why Nemo is for you.
Been watching the sale thread of Nemo so be cool to watch it come alive again, double win that's it's getting raced/tracked.
I come from the world of downhill mountain bike racing, about 70% of those racing have a bike thats better than the rider :) flash bike or crap bike if it rides it can raced, if it can be raced then thats fun.
Happy building with the project.

Nice. I really like these, recently got a size 56 myself. Not the same colour scheme unfortunately, looking at koga brochures 2009 seems to be the last year with nemo paint.

Well, if it is then I'll have all the parts for a Talbot Track bike I guess.
I think I now have all the parts needed - ordered chainring bolts and a lock ring this morning.
Debating pedals- do I want to use Speedplay on the track, or something that will hold me in a bit more?

There's a track version with extra-high release tension, uses the same cleat I think
-

Pretty sure it was @xavierdisley who tried out track Speedplay and found no noticeable benefit over regular ones.
Search his comments in the TT and/or Hour Record threads.

Not surprised tbh, I find my normal speedplays super-secure anyway
-

I wouldn't buy the track ones again over normal Zeros, no

Was it Andy Ellis?
I also love these frames, wanted to buy it before boner, then when boner sold it, then when Matt sold it... But like my Condor plenty and don't need 2 alu track frames.
Hope you manage to hang onto this one !

Very good.
Look forward to seeing it built up.
Robust black stem with chrome Nitto drops, thanks. -

Too late I am afraid, silver X2 is already on.
Meet Nemo:
The first track bike I ever saw being used on the road was one of these - it was 2006 and I spent some time trying to work out how the orange and white bike I'd just seen weaving neatly through traffic could possible stop, given the lack of brakes.
Closer inspection showed multiple skid patches on the rear tyre which gave me a clue, but it was still something new and strange.
I'm hopefully picking this up on Thursday, and should have the parts in hand to build it up pretty rapidly - although inevitably there will be some items I am missing.
This will be used purely for the track, over the summer - so I will be "that guy" in the juniors with a bike that's rather better than the rider.
