27x1 tyre

Any tried or experienced 27x1 tyres on 27x1 1/4 rims? I want something a little lower profile.

I am not sure if there are any made any more.
I think there are still some 27 x 1 1/8" about Panaracer, used to make them. The old Michelin 27 x 1 have almost certainly all rotted away by now.

I shudder to think about it but Halford online show some Continental Giro 27x1 tyres. I'll give them a go and post the results, cheers

I'm a bit of an amateur, just done some reading on the tubular, probably not going to work.
Thanks for the heads up on the Conti's. I think there the only option.
Such a shame there are no more 1" tyres around, they look so much better

Using a tyre narrower than your rim doesn't strike me as a good idea, especially as your rims likely lack hooks.
