I have a moto g with a pretty knackered lcd if that might work as a temporary fix? Been using it for a couple of months like it is and it works, just a bit messy as you have to rotate it to read the start & end of message etc. Otherwise it's fine!

I have one 8GB with a slight buzzing on the front speaker due to me being clumsy at replacing the screen. Other than that is spotless. Can change the plastic cover for a new blue one if you're keen
