Mongoose Maurice beater

  • hello all

i'd like to sell my beater as i have found a kona paddy wagon frame. it is a 56 mongoose maurice (a bit better than stock). tt is 56cc, the seat tube is 56cc 59ct.

    setup is:

mongoose maurice 2010 frame and forks (4130 cromo)
    tange headset
fsa bars and stem (new, bars are compact)
fsa chainset (original to bike), 48t ring
sturmey archer hubs to gipiemme rim on the back, pro (shimano) on the front (both 30mm profile)
hubs are flip flop, but currently only have a 18t freewheel (new)
    stock brakes (tektro i think)
    kmc chain
velo saddle (mongoose branded, a few scuffs and small tears), and kalloy seatpost (mongoose branded)
freedom thickslick 28c tires (has clearance and eyelets for mudguards)

£230 £215 £200 posted to your door sound good?

  • one day you'll convince me that I need an SS.. esp. after todays experience with an SS MTB.

Good Luck with this : )

  • well, you definitely need one. they are simple, can be beautiful (no, not this one..) and light. ideal to get around town.

  • I'm in love with IGH inside town. Esp. with full guards and racks. : ) Handy to get stuff home from the grocery..

Can I haz the barz if split? never haz compakcz before.

    glws

  • price drop: £215 posted

  • just out of curiousity.. what's the brake drop and chainstay length? looks quite beefy for std reach calipers.

  • chainstay is 4.2 miles long, brake is long drop

  • price drop: £200 posted

  • now splitting:

    f+f, headset, seatpost, saddle: £100
    wheelset, freewheel, tires: £75

the rest i'll keep as it's not worth posting/i'm better off selling locally.

  • pfff... longish chainstay-brake drop. large tyre clearence would be ideal for a townie-pub commuter, getting around in town..

why there's no interest in a decent kit?
