Yeah signed up a few weeks back as fancy a trip late in the year, gaining some credits first though and get some folk in to inspire me to actually do something. Full workshop facilities in the front room is very handy for folk too.

I've used it. Met some really nice people. Still felt a bit awkward though in someones house. Not sure if I would use it again.
They are asking for money now for membership. I'm down for hosting for the last two years but nobody turned up yet. -

I used it a lot for cycling the US West Coast and actually stayed with some really lovely people, in some pretty cool places that I wouldn't have stayed otherwise, got shown lots of great stuff, taken out for lots of dinners and generally had lots of fun!
Certainly much better than couch surfing, as cycle tourist are generally a pretty nice bunch - like beer, good food, coffee, liberal politics etc. And they know what you want when you arrive - shower, cold drink, lots and lots of food.
The only people I found a little odd were some of the ones who did it all the time - kind of made you feel like their hobby... major caveat to that was that some people who I stayed with, who hosted a lot were also some of the nicest.
CSB / TLDR - would do it again 4.5/5

Great! Thats kind of the vibes I was getting from it. Couch surfed plenty and been surfed 'pon, but when I've tried when biking its been problematic*
*worst was after a 2 day rain storm, had a pretty shitty time then the guy we were staying with turned out to be a die hard stoner with no heating of any form in his house, no hot water and when asked if we could go and even buy some coal or wood for the fire from the shop so we could at least sort of dry our cloths, he gathered up all the cardboard from the bins outside, put them in a BBQ then set light to them with white spirit and encouraged us to go and stand around this smoldering pile of stinky cardboard in the rain. Thats the ONLY bad experience I've had, not a dangerous situation, just plain weird.

I've used it whilst cycling in France and Spain so far this year. It's great! I like it as I spend most of my time wildcamping so it's a good way to meet local people in towns/cities. Had some brilliant times with my hosts, everyone so far has been really friendly.
You don't have to pay for it even though they asked for a donation, it was optional.
I can't currently host when I'm in the UK at the moment as I don't really have a home, but if/when I do have somewhere I'll definitely offer my house to give something back.
Is anyone on warm showers?
I was thinking of joining. But being in London and living in a small flat, I don't really have space for people to crash.
But I'd like to use it when abroad really.
