I've used name2net for ages now - maybe not the cheapest, but their customer service is superb (although all done via the web now rather than phone).

Bump - same request. Any solid gold recommendations for a hoster. It'll be a Wordpress build.

I'm using bluehost, seems fine and we'l integrated with WordPress though I don't know much of what I'm doing

TSOhost good service, speedy and on hands support. They will get in touch with you if anything looks suspicious at their end. £2.99 a month for up to 4 websites and optimised WordPress hosting.

I've got a domain and hosting with Arvixe on discount (free) for a year and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. It takes me over 3 weeks to even get a reply from their customer service, and then you've got to hope that they even read your initial enquiry.

maybe OT a little, but does anyone know anything about setting up an online web store? I have not got the first clue, but have the seed of an idea I'd like to look into, see if it's worth further investigation - cheers!

OP:
Dynamic or static content? If it's static you can use an AWS S3 bucket to host it and then not worry about all the bullshit with 'proper' hosting companies. -

I've not used it but have been looking at Snip Cart.

TSO hosting is excellent. Customer service is superb and they're based in the UK, so their staff actually keep the same hours as you.

I like TSOhost too.

NearlyFreeSpeech are my goto. Unbelievably cheap so long as you don't have mad amounts of traffic, and good documentation on everything you might need

I've had a domain with https://www.mythic-beasts.com forever, UK based too. Any thoughts on them for hosting?

Anyone hosted a website out of an AWS S3 bucket? Any pitfalls or good (security) practice I should be following? What did it end up costing you?

^ Am now doing the above (https as well) so if anyone needs a bit of hand holding I can help.
Next question tho: anyone hosted a Wordpress site on an AWS instance? I'm probs gonna do so, but just looking to see if there's any major reason to avoid.

Bumping this. Looking for some cheap hosting.

Digital Ocean used to always be the recommended one. No idea if it's still the best. Find one you can pay in £ rather than $.

I'm looking into this and have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, so any help would be hugely appreciated.
I've just purchased a domain for my company and am now looking to design and host a simple website with email. I'm a film editor, so website will be a landing page with short bio, contact info and embedded (or linked to) showreel.
I've noticed Wix and Squarespace - any thoughts or alternatives I should look into?
Cheers
Hi all,
I'm looking to host 3 very small low traffic websites - looking for web hosting suggestions. Don't need anything fancy, but needs to be reliable and cheap.
Can anyone recommend a web host? Thank you
