Wanted: XL Mountain Bike - Budget £400 - Geared - MTB - 29er, 650b or 26" considered.

Hi there,

A very good friend of mine is looking for a mountain bike as he is entering a specialist triathlon which comprises of Stand Up Paddle Boarding, an MTB ride and a Trail Run in Exmoor - sounds amazing! He needs to update his early 90's Rockhopper though, so is looking for a new bike and has asked me for some help.

He's 6ft2-ish so was thinking an XL hardtail with a slackish head angle - something 72 degrees or less. Ideally geared and running a minimum 120mm fork.Would like something I can slot a reverb dropper post into so no 27.2 seat tubes (boo) although that isn't a show stopper if you've got a nice geared inbred or something similar.

if still lookin I have this scott needing tlc.. discbrakes frobt rock shox suspension brand new wheelset on chunky tyres deore lx on. ..size xl.. its oldish and need some work but will give it for 80quids
