Was that the one that went up on eBay a few months back? I very nearly bid against you on that! Lovely bike...
There's an absolutely stunning all gold Allin at Herne Hill that would make a great reference point for a resto job... Might be worth asking one of the track coaches for a look, they have a few old grass polo frames stored there...

Hi,
No, it is not the one on eBay. I'll have a look to see if I find the eBay listing. Was it complete?
This is just the bare frame and forks. Thanks for the info, very helpful. I'll see if I can go down to Herne Hill to have a look.
Cheers

Here are Euan and Caspar having a play on them at the track... Email Rollapaluza, I think they've still got stewardship of the grass polo bikes...

Awesome. The frame I have got is pretty much like the one at the back. Will build it with period components but will be ridden on the streets, so probably the gear ratio will be different.
Thanks again. -

@Buffalo_Bill what was the name of the track racing guy who came to first euros? He knew a lot about polo.

Will check. Thanks
Hi everyone,
I've recently bought a 1930's Claud Butler polo frame that I would like to restore.
I've found a catalogue scan online that mentions that the frames were finished in team colours. Main triangle one colour and forks and stays of a different one. It mentions a white and red frame in there but I am not that keen on the combination.
I have got a few colours in mind that I would like but I do not know if they were team colours and although I have found some info online it does not mention this.
So before I go ahead with what I like, I was wondering if anyone knows any old London bike polo club and its colours or where I can do a bit more research.
All help appreciated.
Cheers
Alex
