I am sorry people, I have to close Norwich AlleyCat. Basically Norwich AlleyCat has been reported to the police for organising illegal bicycle races on the roads. Even though I argued that we have no set route, and this has to be planned and then ridden by the individual participant (note that I clearly did not say competitor) on the day, and it is therefore not linear, so it cannot be a race. However, we do have a start point and finish point and that is their argument.
The really sad thing about this situation is that it must have been someone on the Norwich cycling scene who has reported Norwich AlleyCat to the Police.
I am really sorry folks, but Norwich AlleyCat is now cancelled for the foreseeable future............. However, never forget that we were the best AlleyCat in the world!
