panaracer ribmo for speed.
schwable marathon for anti-speed -
• #5
If it fit.
-
• #6
I wouldn't run Marathons again. Something a bit more supple.
Specialized Fatboy would be an appropriate one..

The Inbred has Nobby Nic (2.25 or 2.4 not sure) fitted at the moment and still has a good amount of clearance.

i can recommend schwalbe crazy bob or kenda kiniption. I'd love to try the spesh fat boys
-

Schwalbe Fat Frank

hehe. can't argue - they're like sandbags!
I thought you wanted sloow = heavy.
Ribmos are awesome, but only got folding up to 1.75 only iIrc -

The Fatboys was what everyone ran in Melbourne. Except me, who opted for teh stupidly expensive but fast (and RED) S-Licks. :)
-
• #12
They're heavy but they also ride like shit. I guess I want fat but not tank tracks.

surely there's a ton of 'park' tyres now that mountain bikes have decided to come to skateparks? something like http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/michelin-wild-run-r-slick-mtb-tyre/rp-prod48134?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Shopping&utm_name=UnitedKingdom&gs=1&gclid=CLKvorqL0MICFSbHtAodgGAAfg&gclsrc=aw.ds

KHE Mack 2 Park 26"

Nah, go for Big Apple, I've had both, the Big Apple feel nicer to ride for the same size.

"Inflated to around 2 Bar" ? Really? That's like 30psi?
30-55psi and 780g a piece? I'm not sure I want to go that slow. -
• #20
30psi on 60mm is like 100psi for 23mm tyres.
You're already going slow with a fucking MTB.
-
• #21
Schwalbe Kojak is a pure slick (no thread). Available as 35mm and 50mm in 26"
-
• #22
30psi on 60mm is like 100psi for 23mm tyres.
780g is still 780g
You're already going slow with a fucking MTB.
I'm never slow.
-
• #23
30-70 psi and 460g for the 26x2
-
• #24
780g is still 780g.
The Marathon Plus in 28mm that you use to ride on is 750g.
780g for a 60mm wired tyres is fine, if you want lighter, look at the Super Moto which is the lighter version of the Big Apple.
Also;
I'm looking for some fat, slow tyres.
Despite contrary, you really can't have your cake and eat it.

I can and will. I've got some options now anyway so it'll depend on what i find in shops and if i find nothing I'll order a random set online.
It's been 10 years since I rode a slicked up MTB. What's new?
I'm looking for some fat, slow tyres to fit onto what look like standard presta-tubed wheels (not tubeless or anything funky).
Any alternatives to Hookworms?
