    As above.
    Hit me up!

    Thanks

  • urgh don't bother.
I had one and it was utter shite.
Got a 500 now its much much nicer to use.

  • Ahh man, I'm getting such conflicting views. I really want decent mapping, but the 500 can only do breadcrub right? How good is it at dealing with .gpx?

  • 705 Was infuriating when I had one.

  • "Houston, the eagle has landed". Neil Armstrong. 705 is very good for me. Navigated from Calais to the river Rhine in two days and 400km in Wales in about 24h.

  • 'Internet' wisdom seems to be split in two. Those that updated firmware and those that didn't. Somewhere along the line, it all went up shit creek it seems. Reckon it's worth dumping £70 odd to simply test it's capabilities, or abandon it all and go for an 800.

  • Go for an 800. I may be biased as I'm selling mine for £170, or £180 with speed/cadence sensor

  • i have a 705...no problems from me.

  • 705's are absolutely fine. You've got to remember this was/is quite old tech now, but perfectly useable.

Mine's been going since 2008 and its not the fastest at getting a satellite signal, nor is it the fastest at updating the maps, but its perfectly functional. And these days, pretty cheap to get. I've an 800 too and its not that better. However the touchscreen is a great improvement over the joystick.

  • I tried to load a course/ track whatever the fuck Garmin call it on my ex-705. 20 mins later it still hadn't loaded. I navigated to Greenwich to Seaford last weekend with my 500 and it worked a treat.
