London to Prague summer 2015

So I have gone a little mad and a little out of control due to some recent tragic events at home. As a result, I want to do a bike ride late in the summer 2015, probably looking at end of Aug / beginning of Sept, from London to Prague. Why Prague? One of my best friends live there and thought it would be a good final stop.

I am pretty sure I could grather all the info I need from various threads / posts here, but really would want my own thread so I can refer back easily. First question, anyone done this could give me a few starting points?

Anyone wanna come with?

@ExTra Sounds sweet. Any idea how long it will take you? Are you going for a road bike or fixed? Camping or hotels/hostels?

I am not sure, I am thinking 2.5 weeks with some sightseeing and whatnot? It will have to be gear bike for me coz of my bad knee. I am meeting up with a mate next week to hopefully start the ball rolling...
