Will an On-One Pompino take 29ers? I don't want to buy them and find out after the fact.

As I understand it, 29" mtb rims = 700c road/cross rims. Pomps probably take 45c tyres comfortably I guess (dep on fork choice).

No, they don't. 35c max for V3 and versions prior. 35c max also stated for V4.

My 2 cents: I have 29er WTB Speed Disc All Mountain 21mm rims on my Pompetamine (135mm rear axle) with 33c maxxis CX tyres and there is not much space left (no way for mudguards!).

And 35c Kojak tyres on my Pompino V4 (120mm rear axle) - the remaining space is too thin for SKS bluemels mudguards (but almost, grr)...
