Campag wheelset and downtube friction shifters (8 speed)

anyone haz?

wheelset: something decent, not deep rims please, runs true and smooth etc....cassette included would be nice, 8 speed and silver rims ideally

shifters: down tube campag ones, the more modern ones to fit onto braze ons, think they might be called syncro? look around 80/90 NOS on ebay, anyone got some functioning (scuffs and scratches fine, almost encouraged) , 8 speed ideally not sure if it makes a difference if the are friction shifters?

Friction shifters will shift anything from 2-11 speed. I've just whacked a pair of deep carbons with 11 speed cassette on my '59 Carlton for a laugh and the Suntour power shifters work seamlessly :o)

Syncro are indexed and a massive PITA: avoid at all costs unless you enjoy smashing your face into a brick wall.

Recently gave away two wheelsets, but I still have an eight speed cassette: shout if you don't get sorted and I'll dig it out.

I do have a couple of pairs of ten speed wheelsets if you change your mind.

Friction shifters tend to work better than indexed as you can fine tune out any little rattles etc.
I have some really nice wheels I was about to put on Ebay not quite to your spec but let me know if of intetest :-
Campag C record era Chorus on Campag Omega Strada grey rims clinchers with tyres (tyres new or v. little used) and fitted with 7 speed block ( I ran this 7 speed with Chorus Ergo Shifters on one bike and friction shifters on Rauler.) Only selling as disc on Rauler now.
