^ yea I thought it might be C Record, but wasn't 100% sure so kept it 'downgraded' to Record. Anyone else able to help verify? cheers

Still don't get the difference between these with the shield and the ones with the text. Anyone?

^ from what I gather they are the earlier edition, circa sheriff star era, and are rarer and certainly in this condition more sought after than the new ones, functionally not sure if any real noticeable difference?

No difference, same design and factory, not sure if they improved the material but I guess they didn't... The c-record are just more collectable, who doesn't like the shield? :)

I wonder is there any other bike part (apart from saddles) that is being produced for so long?
