Judging from the decals and dropouts I'm guessing it's late 70s. You might be able to pin point the age a little better if you compare the components to the ones in the these catalogues: http://www.velo-pages.com/main.php?g2_itemId=121
I paid ~$US150 for my early 70s Zeus track frame about 4 years ago. Your frame looks to be in better condition and is probably more desirable with the classic Zeus dropouts and matching componentry. I probably wouldn't part for the complete bike for any less than $US500, could fetch a bit more if you found the right buyer.. (bearing in mind that I have no idea what the market would be like in Indianapolis.. I could be very wrong!)
There's a pretty lengthy thread here that you might find interesting as well.. http://www.lfgss.com/conversations/237676/

Seat Tube
Fork Crown - says Zeus 2001 - hadn't noticed that before. I think the rust will all polish off.

Lush. Im sure its an original Zeus frame. Prob all french threaded and the details look well done. The stamp at the top of the downtube shell bit is a different letter pretty much in the same place as mine. Shame its in the states otherwise I would be tempted to make an offer.
How about you 'give it away cheap' to me? ;-)

Are the decals under the lacquer?

Decals are not under the lacquer. Underside of the downtube decal has peeled back a bit.

A friend years ago had a lime green Zeus built with Durifort tubing. It had fun cut-outs, had nice Campy N.R. clone parts, and was just way cool looking. Such a bike today in guideline condition should be worth around $750. Zeus bikes equipped with the legendary Zeus 2000 components are much rarer. In guideline condition one should be worth at least $1200 to $1500 dollars. These bikes are very rare and very cool. [Spain. Zeus was also a maker of inexpensive knock-offs of Campagnolo parts.]

I have an old Zeus track bike I need to sell. I bought it used in 1986. Would like to find out how old it is and get some idea of the value. I'm in the US - Indianapolis. There's a nice velodrome here, so there should be a decent market for track bikes.
Reynolds 531 frame and fork - Zeus dropouts.
Cinelli stem and bars.
Seatpost is Avocet. Saddle is a Selle Italia Turbo.
Pedals are Specialized sealed from the '80s.
Rims are Mavic. Hubs, Crank, Bottom bracket, Headset are all Zeus.
Paint is original and in good condition.
I'm not expecting to have a treasure here, but I don't want to give it away cheap if it has some value. Any suggestions on where I might look to get some information or history on this bike?
