Rim tape

I got one of my kid's track bikes out last night and it had a puncture in the rear wheel.

The rim tape has moved all the way to the right hand side of the rim (quite understandable considering it is only ridden in one direction!).

Does anybody have any recommendations for rim tapes to prevent this? The tape that was on there was some generic self adhesive stuff that came with the wheels.

And before anyone mentions it, tubs are not an option at the moment!

I think those plastic loops are better than tape. Make sure it's the right width for the rim, maybe yours was too narrow or something?
