Silver parts are classy.

Liking this. I need (want) something that can be similarly equipped with full, fixed mudguards of that type. Looking forward to more pictures.

Thanks mate, should be ideal for crappy weather!

Looks good, will look better when covered in grime haha. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it to get the drop outs replaced?
-
• #8
I paid £100 including the actual parts
-
• #9
You paid £100 to convert the vertical drop outs to... vertical drop outs?
-
• #10
Looks like those are track ends of the horizontal, rear-facing kind to me, mr. Tomato? Personally I could live with the dropouts it had but hey, I don't have 100 pounds burning a hole in my pocket.
Btw please put a quill stem on ASAP. Would make the bike so much more pleasing to the eye.

Quill stem and risers on the way

Track ends doesn't make it a track bike though and theres a whole host of nice ratty, actual track frames on here for £100. Just makes no sense. It's like buying a new pair of wellington boots and paying someone to put running soles on! Actually, that'd be awesome!
That aside, nice build

I dunno, I just like them and it makes it look an obvious conversion which I also kinda like...
Horses for courses and all that

Well that's a good-a-reason as any. Fair play

Thanks mate
Might pop some H+Son Archetypes on it with some fatter tyres for the winter

Looks nice, who did the paint?

gumwalls in winter is a bad idea. interesting project tho :)

This may well be hanging in the garage until the sun comes out!!
Paint was done by Mastercote in Rackheath, these photos don't do it justice...it's got a real NJS style sparkle to it!
So, yesterday I thought I was doing a completely different project to the one that this is going to end up being!
This is the frame
Which I'd planned on respraying UPS brown for a mudguarded sensible looking winter bike, after a few people in the Norwich forum suggesting that I was possibly mad for not making this into a lovely bike with ratty paint, I think it will now be becoming just that
Track ends being added as we speak
Might end up looking something like this
(apologies for the worst quality pic possible)
Can't decide on whether it should be black components or silver ones and gumwalls...
Or whether I should just ignore people's inputs and paint it and make it into the bike I originally had the idea to do?
