i did look in our classifieds before buying it there was no gold hub, so bought one on online supermarket.
and only after buying it discovered we had that thread about retail affiliates. this thread should be sticky (though i know it is not in our spirit).

a little something for update. hub - up close and personal. cool.
-
• #16
Yes! yes! yes! my front wheel is built, I can't help but smile. I have caught setting sun in the pic.
-
• #17
rear wheel is done.
what remains is most challenging part of pulling together a bike - finding the right chainset with the right bottom bracket and cog that will give straight chainline. I plan to run 48T by 16T - hope it wont be too hard to pedal up the Pentonville Rd.
Building up a bike from scratch is much more rewarding than buying a stock one. During the process I have learned more about bikes and people than I could ever imagine.

that most challenging part is over. i have got my hands on crankset amongst other things which'll be pictured later on.

After months of looking around, couldn't decide what frame to get. Me and Kal (kal_yxo) got talking about this project and I asked him to sell his frame, luckily he agreed. When I traveled home on public transport, I began to be a nuisance, people tripped over the frame as they walked by me. Two twins and their father kicked the frame's backend as they left the tube, didn't even look back or say sorry.
Sealed the deal with handover picture.

Done. I am gonna ride the living hell out of this. Next update will probs be of frame folded in half.
my point and shoot is colourblind, it photographs purple frame as blue for some reason

I am gonna accessorize the bike with a taste of Japanese and my own likes.
Got these stickers from redbubble, most people say they take too long to deliver
or simply do not deliver at all but my order was posted just on time.I have already done some Kawaii work on front wheel few weeks ago. alpacas, sheep, birds
and flowers sponge stickers. Crystals from cass art and a butterfly sponge sticker from poundland. all superglued with waterproof glue. -
