    More Info:
Frameset was bought from Bricklane Bikes. Painting scheme and decals are original and amazing, as you can see - in NOS shape. Other parts was bought separately in 1,5 years. Now I'm searching more info about this frame, because it has a lot interesting and unseen features. If you know something - write me PM or preilauskas@gmail.com. Thanks!

  • Dayum! Both slave and porn! Very clean build and strong first post on CP!

  • Cranks and saddle angle keep it away from porn, awesome nonetheless.

  • logos always TDC bro...

  • Frame alone is porn of the highest level!
When did you find it at blb? Sometimes they have gems but it's been years I don't spot anything worth! Nice find!

  • Is this going to get ridden? Seems nice and all but it comes across as a bit of a wallhanger, especially without pedals.

  • What a lovely thang

  • And what year is it? Looks like a recent reissue (late 2000's)

  • Hi,
I saw post in lopro.blogspot.com that BLB just got some new framesets from their trip to Italia. It was 2013, March.

  • No, it will be mostly for showcase. But I'll try it velodrome. I still didn't find right pedals on right price for now, so they will be in future, then I'll upgrade some stuff to ins level.

  • I don't think / believe it's so "young". My idea is late 90's, maybe 87-90 (before or after Seoul Olympics). But that's the main thing now I'm trying to figure out. If somehow I'll know it - certainly update post with more history details.

  • BB shell not give any clues about it's age?

  • So it is NOS.
As long as I've seen before the fork crown mounted bars are only on olympic models (with different clamps, not with a quill stem head), so pretty rare, and for sure produced before the coming of MAX tubing (this is even lugless!).
Looking at what Rossin did the last few years and the sticker on the downtube, I'll place this frame around the 2000s, as Rossin stopped to produce at the very beginning of the 90s, and came back later (last decade) to produce reissues of their old steel frames (all lugless and modern columbus sets).
Not sure if these are just licensed reissues as Rossin brand was acquired in the 2000s and produced carbon frames since then.
Let's see if someone more expert will give an answer ;)

  • It's a Performance EL, but I couldn't find any info on the year of production... maybe mid 90s.
Did blb give you any info regarding this frame?

    This looks very similar:

  • sorry - double post

  • Oh!
Not sure what to make of this!

  • Yeah got ya, is it about the bike or man! nice photo shoot :(

  • Interesting theory! Was it real? Rossi came back and reissued old frames? You read or heard somewhere about it?

That image with El Performance is not like mines - has different handlebar mounting clamp, also - as you see mine is made from Columbus MAX tubes and all lugs, El Performance - as I can see from small image, has at least one. But if we could knew it;s producing time - what could be a benchmark for mine Rossin.

BLB somehow got frame from Italy, and didn't knew anything more. Also, I bought frame only few days after they got it, so I think they hadn't time to search more.

  • I don't want to say anything negative about this frame or suggest the possibility that it may not be a Rossin at all.....so I won't.

  • Either way it's sexy as fuck :).

  • Yes it definitely is

  • And.... Why? Because I don't see any rational reason for that in this case.

  • I'm not trying to piss on your cornflakes dude but when something is put on a forum sometimes the feedback is not always positive - The bike is beautifully put together , stunning components and your post is well presented. Sometimes there has to be some devil's advocacy in order to test the substance of any project etc.
Thing is it just doesn't feel like a 1980's or 90's Rossin to me.
Blb I think described it "The green one is same as as the one rossin build for russian pursuit team on which they won gold in 80's , and it is build from my favourite tubing columbus MAX". Well Columbus Max I think first appeared in '87 so that's fine but I for one have never seen any pics of any Russian team riding anything like this frame.
I don't recall ever seeing a real (pre new ownership) Rossin with No pantographing.
As far as I know in the original 80's and 90's factory decals on an original finish the 'R' decal had a small registered logo in a circle upper right.
I'm not trying to argue that this defo isn't an 80's-90's Rossin I'm just expressing my initial, unresearched opinions.
Now I hope I am wrong and that your frame is spot-on in all respects and I much prefer to make positive comments about some of the beautiful frames and bikes that appear here.
Maybe a pic of the BB would help to clarify things a little.
Anyway the bike does look great whatever it is.
