Not as such: I believe a virtual reach-around is where it's at these days...
Ok, wont wafle too much...
Last night I found my rear wheel with a very hard to find 28h omega clincher rim... which has been the bane of my life to try and replace.. it was on a bike locked up on brick lane, I staked it out, and got it back.
The lad who owned the bike was French, new to London, textile designer working a shitty job and living in clapton, all these things made me feel very sorry for him, I know it was his choice to be a textile designer but he was born French...
He said he bought the whole bike from gumtree for 100 quid, it was a crate so I don't really think thats too hard to believe, I also don't think France is as rife with thieving bastards as London and he seemed genuine so I believe he just made a foolish innocent mistake.
I still took my bloody wheel, but I gave him a beer for his walk home.
Anyway, I want to find him a cheap replacement... so he doesn't have to shell out 70 odd quid in BLB or somewhere...
