Reverse brake lever on track drops

A good idea? Or not. Tend to ride mostly on hooks / drops.
Not really seen it before. Looked for pics on the net but can't find any.
Would this even work??

what about aero levers underneath the drops?

Yeah, thats the kind of thing I'm thinking.
Is there any reason why this would not work / is a bad idea???

Reverse brake lever - is the brake on unless you release it?

Did this on my old Raleigh hybrid years ago, took off the grip shift and straight bar, put drops on and bar end brake levers. Mounted friction shifters on the seat tube. Much anti, so young.

You mean a TT/bar-end lever on drops? Works fine.

If you're doing it to keep the bars looking clean, then running the lever on the NDS works best: the lever is hidden by the top tube for your pr0n pics :)

That was part of the reason. Keep it clean.
Riding with one hood looks odd too me. I was doing that for months, then I saw the sohofixed thread and I got irritated.

Have you got levers?

I've got both budget and bling single levers: ITM alloy or Record crabon if you're in the market...

Not yet. Probably get those end of Sept. Got other bits to get first.
May shout you. Was gonna go with the Dia compe or Tekro. Gonna do some more research first.

Be sure to check the ID of your bars matches the OD of the lever (obvs): 99 out of 100 are standard, but the 1% that don't can really put a crease in your trousers.

I posted a pic in case anyones interested. Its a tekro rx4.1 lever on nitto b125's. Works fine.
Not the most elegant of solutions maybe but practical for me.
Just gotta tape up bars.

Yeah, done that now. Taped up bars too. That was just a pic i posted once I'd fitted everything and took it out for a spin.

Thinking about that as u suggested. Will have to learn to use left hand again to brake :-)

Get road drops and 2 hoods even if you only hook one up, it will look and ride a lot better.
