For Sale: SRAM Red Chainset, 172.5mm, 53T/39T 130BCD + 54T Fiberlyte Carbon Chainring + GXP BB

Hi all,

I'm selling some tasty bits as I need to concentrate on training and not accumulating expensive parts that don't actually make me go faster...

I have bought this SRAM Red 'Black' chainset new in July 2012 and I used to have it fitted to my Lynskey (now mattyc's).

This is the 'second' generation of SRAM Red so 130BCD and black chainrings (53T / 39T). I went all out at the time and got them with a SRAM Red GXP ceramic bottom bracket. I did approximately 800 miles with that set up.

As you will see from the pictures, they are in good used condition with only light rubbing marks to the 172.5mm arms.

When coming back into my old flat, the original 53T chainring caught the big step at the entrance and was bent by approximately 2mm. I re-adjusted my FD and then decided to fit a 54T Fiberlyte 'Full Aero' carbon chainring as which has seen very little use so it is still in really good condition.

When I sold my Lynskey, I kept the cranks but not the Ceramic BB so I had buy a new GXP BB (silver, BSA threads) which has also done very little miles and still works like new.

What is included in the sale?

• 172.5mm SRAM Red Black 130 BCD chainset;
  
• Original 53/39T chainrings (53T chainring 2mm off);
  
• 54T 'Full Aero' plain weave carbon Fiberlyte chainring;
  
• GXP Bottom Bracket (BSA) - Couple of marks on one of the cups from slipping tool).
  
  
  

Price wise, you can get a new crankset for £199, a new Fiberlyte chainring for £106 and a new GXP BB for £18.

Since all my kit is in good use condition, let's take 50% off the best online price so that puts us at £160 -> £150 for the lot.

I believe the price is really good when you factor in the cost of the carbon chainring.

I have put a wanted ad for a USE 130BCD chainring.

If one comes up at a reasonable price, I will keep those cranks and use them on my Titanium project which is in the CP
