• I'm selling my 26" custom Ti hardtail. Triton in Moscow made it for me a couple of years ago, along with the rack. It's a seriously lovely frame to ride, totally bombproof, light, comfy, it can handle pretty much anything. I did Bear Bones 200 on it last year, but have ridden full on trails on it, with big drops, jumps etc. I'm only selling to fund another one from Triton for Tour Divide (29er).

The frame has Paragon Hooded dropouts, rack eyelets (for the custom rack), cable guides for front/rear mechs, rear disc and dropper post hose. The frame has a bead blasted finish with logos/headbadges polished then masked before bead blasting, it's a lovely, hard wearing finish.

The fork is a Fox Float 150mm, which I've shimmed down to 130mm travel for doing longer rides. Fork has been serviced recently, only done about 40 miles since. Runs perfectly.

    Included:

    • Frame
    • Rack
    • Fox Float 150mm fork (shimmed to 130mm)
    • Chris King headset, tapered. Has some rub from handlebar harness, but runs perfectly.
    • Hope Bottom Bracket, perfectly smooth
    • Hope QR Seatclamp
    • Alpkit framebag custom made for it, in black.

I'm looking for £800 for the lot, can post to UK addresses. PM if interested.

All loaded on There n' Back this year

In it's more "All Mountain" guise.

  • Utter bargain

  • James, get my email the other day?

  • Yes, sorry no can do as am now longer with the employer who could sort it out.

  • Great! Gabes, out of interest - when will you be riding the tour divide?

Pm me if you don't want to derail your thread!

  • James, no worries.

JB, Next year, starting with the Grand Depart on 2nd Friday in June.

  • Hmmmm. 2015 is the year I said I'd do it. So maybe me too.

  • Sweet. I know a few people doing it. I'm sure we'll end up riding together somewhere along the route.

You have a target time? I'm aiming for 20 days, but if they have snow like this year, it'll be slower.

  • You mentalists.

Roughly what size does this equate to Gabes? Options these days for AM hardtails seems to be 'normal' and 'a bit longer'

  • small I guess, check the geometry linked in OP

  • Well I need to get much fitter first, and save money, and actually plan it, and think about how I'd do it, logistically. Also need to get a bit more experience with touring off road and potentially on my own for long periods of time.

20 days sounds horrifically quick given the mileage (though I appreciate people do it quicker than 20 days.)

  • 20 days is going to be fucking hard, i have no illusions about that. That's about 140 miles per day average. So there will need to be some 200 mile days in there. I'm fit, and doing lots and lots of very long rides, but doing them back to back for that amount of time is an unknown. We'll see!
