Dibs on the frame
-
• #3
2nd dibs on the frame if Asamasa finds it too small or too big and provided the size of the top tube is 57cm :D
(is 58cm square? if so, no dibs) -
• #4
Top tube seems to be 57cm centre to centre.

Okay, let me know what Asamasa does then

As Anidel says, he's picking up the frame this evening. But here are some more shots:
I took out the BB in order to strip the frame, but it seems to be in good condition despite its age.

Rockhopper gone. Thanks Abbatronic.
Thread now closed.
Rockhopper FS, size: 20.5 inches
Full bike with original components apart from Middleburn crankset, which replaced the worn out original. It's unused for a few months but before that I rode it daily. It's heavy, but very durable. The frame is chipped and there are some minor rust spots, but basically it's in good shape.
There's little life left in the forks. Don't know how easy it is to source replacement dampers.
The stem wedge is stuck in the head tube, so the stem can't be raised or lowered. Don't know how firmly the wedge is stuck, I never tried to remove it.

Hugh Porter 531 road frame and fork, size: 58cm
Bought this from another forum user, but can't remember who it was. I intended to strip it and repaint it, but never got further than one coat of Nitromors. I read somewhere that these Hugh Porters from the early 70s were made by Woodrup out of 531 tubing. It's definitely a 531 as there's a faint stamp in one of the stripped sections of the seat tube.
Takes old style non-recessed brakes. 130mm rear spacing.
SOLD
Pick up in E8 or we can meet in town. Not willing to post. Will free cycle both items if they don't sell.
