That does look cool. Mad venue too.

I think it'll be a good event. It's a shame that spectators have to pay £20 entry though, a bit steep for an unproven event.

What! A score to hang out in a carpark? Fuck that. I'd be up for racing (if fit enough), but they're going to have trouble promoting that. I take it they've never been to the nocturne.

They're actually the same people who run the Nocturne. You'd think they'd know better. I can see the ticket prices coming down nearer the time.
-
• #6
So they are. Which means they might see this thread. Well see you in October for free tickets...

Am thinking of entering on my 24" BMX, although that privilege will also relieve me of £20. Happy days.

Looks pretty cool. Was thinking of doing my stag there, but kinda want to do it outside of London. Know of any events like that outside of London round October time? Can only think of Revolution in Manchester, doubt muddy hell will be on after last years cancellation.... wanted to do a session at their velodrome, getting my mates on track bikes :D but it was full... sigh.
Any ideas?

Ben - how about entering with the Penguin suit again?!
i've entered the Charge, :-)

Ticket prices now down to £15.

Any idea what the jump obstacle will be?

I asked them this yesterday. They said they'd make it known soon. Am hoping they don't go for this.

There is a course map up now, it's a box jump but can go around it.

Should be a fun event!
Who's that in the forum cap? You @finger_jockey? -
• #18
Guilty! That's me in the cap (it's even personalised with my forum name on it!).
I got a free ticket to race at the event for doing the video, and @Sam_Dunn and someone else from the LFGSS Track day won tickets to race too, so everyone should come and cheer us on! Some other people won free beer wristbands as well so there may be more where those came from.
Notes from riding the course: going up is fine, I think most fixed riders will easily outrun the other bikes...going down however is SCARY. The corners are sharp and you build up a lot of speed doing down the ramps so you have to be really careful not to overcook it. With all different types of bikes on the course at once it's going to make for veeeeeery interesting racing!

David Millar confirmed to race.

Ooh looks cool.

You should enter! You could blow away the competition with your new jumper :P

Not yet been worn in anger, since i am in sunny climes.
It is becoming scary to consider it: waiting at home, brooding, needing to be worn.

I wonder if he'll be wearing his hat?

Just found out that LFGSS can get a discount on tickets.
The code will be sent out to everyone on the Nocturne (same organisers) mailing list, but I've been told that LFGSS can use it too :)
Link is https://parkourride.ticketabc.com/events/parkour-ride/
Discount code is PKNOC2014
It gives 20% off until next Fri (12th), which is better than a slap in the face.

I think I want to go to this. Has anyone started a microcosm.app EVENT?

This looks pretty good, apart from the having to compete against the experts bit.
