Wanted: 2x clincher rims 36+ holes

Posted on
  • Hi there,

the rims that came with the golden arrow hubs are bent so I'd like to get the Holdsworth some proper wheels.

Anyone as a set of good value 36 holes RIMs ?
Or suggestion on a new set to buy?

    Thanks!

  • Actually I might need 4 of them (a set for the Gazelle too).

It depends on the price, really, as the 'seriously' bent ones are the rear ones, but I'd like to keep them in pairs, so I'll probably change all of them.

  • BTW, what do you guys think of the Rigida Chrina ?
Everyone says they're cheap but good quality ones (i.e. they last, but not light)?

  • I've still got that 27" pair of Mavics/Lamberts that you saw a few months back.

  • Those were full wheels though, right?

  • Ah yes, complete wheels, sorry..
    Here's some freecycle 36s. http://www.lfgss.com/thread129429.html#post4308726

  • Thanks. But I should have said I'm looking for 700c :)

  • What about some WEINMANN CONCAVE 36 hole black
    ?

  • good value 36 holes RIMs ?
Or suggestion on a new set to buy?

Best road rim under £20 by a large margin:

  • thanks mdcc_tester!

I'll have a look at them.

  • What about some WEINMANN CONCAVE 36 hole black
    ?

    Never heard about those. Pictures?

Update: they seem like nice rims, but best to use non-foldable tyres on them.

  • Nidderdale cycles ont the bay are selling new 700C hoops cheaply with 36 hole drillings

  • Thanks. Will check them out
