• Having made the move over to Nikon, I now have some gear up for grabs. Everything can be viewed/collected in Islington (the Dalston end).

As ever with these things Cash is King, feel free to throw your dibs in the ring but the first lady or lad to commit with the cash, gets the booty.

    Canon 1 £800

The camera has been well used but has always been looked after. Might be some very light scuffs but nothing really visible.
It comes with: 2 x batteries, charger, 2 x 8gb cf Prospec cards, 2 x 5m usb cables (for shooting tethered), 1 x 5m usb extension, 1 x canon angle viewfinder, strap and manual. I also have the box.
I’m missing the eye cup but that never bothered me as I always used the angle view finder (which cost me £180).

    Canon 2 £800

Again, the camera has been well used but has always been looked after. Might be some very light scuffs but nothing bad.
It comes with: 1 x battery (I know it’s not in the picture but I do have it), charger, 1 x 8gb cf Prospec card, 1 x 1gb lexar cf card, 1 x viewfinder loupe (for filming), 1 x cf card reader, strap and manual. I also have the box.
    The eye piece is missing.

    X-Rite Eye-One Display 2 Monitor Calibration £80

Only used a handful of times. Great if you need a a colour accurate screen.

    Micro Red Rock Rig £450

A micro red rock shoulder mount rig with follow focus Proaim V2.
    Perfect for dslr video stuff.
Shows signs of use but does the same job nevertheless.
The follow focus is not as smooth as it once was.
Comes with: Lanparte Z-shape offset raised rail, 2 x gear rings, extra rods, quick release mount, whip, crank, and a bag of screws, brackets, knobs etc.

    SSD's

    3 x 240gb Kingston Hyper X 3K ssd drives - used three times £60 each
    1 x 480gb Kingston Hyper X 3K ssd drive - used three times £175

Bought a year ago. Really fast read and write speed. Comes with mounting plate and box.

Could chuck this in with the hard drives if someone buys multiple.
Docking station ‘Icy box’ for hard drives - Cost me £40.

  • What are the shutter counts on each of the 5D's?

    Cheers Andy

  • Hey mate. I have no idea. They have been well used (professionally) so I would imagine it's rather high. Sorry I can't give you a more accurate answer.

  • Dibs on all 3 240GB SSD - PM sent

  • or this:
    www.myshuttercount.com

if you end up splitting any bits out I might be interested in the filming viewfinder

    Sam

  • Ok.... So I used the astrojargon website to find out the shutter counts on these and they are really high. Much higher than anticipated.

For the Canon 1 camera it is: 287592

For the Canon 2 camera it is: 274399

    Work horses!

  • I'll have one of the 240gb SSD's please, if they fall though

  • Do you have any lens you want rid of?

  • Interested in 480gb SSD possibly, will PM you

  • 3rd dibs on a 240gb SSD

  • I'll take the angle viewfinder if you split.

  • How much for only the micro red rock shoulder mount rig?

  • Those shutter counts are almost 3 times what is considered the shutters lifespan which is 100000...

  • Was thinking the same. maybe it is 28k not 280k ?

  • 280k isn't unrealistic for a professional's workhorse - a lot more likely than 28k, I'd wager. A day's heavy shooting can nudge four figures on it's own. And they can and do last that long if they are looked after.

All that said.. anyone giving these serious thought would need to take into account the cost of a shutter replacement for it sooner or later (in the area of £200).

  • Hi everyone

Sorry for my absence. Went abroad.

In terms of the shutter counts, I did post the correct number. And yes it is pretty high. I'm a professional photographer so they have served me very well.
After the high shutter count news I'm willing to look at offers.

Snake Fist.... Do you just want the rig without the follow focus etc?

Frank.... PM me for price and info

spotter... Sorry, I'm keeping my lenses as I sometimes use them for video work.

  • Ha, I didn't want the lenses! I was after dem SSD!

  • Ha... Sorry spotter. Heavy weekend.
The three 240gb's are gone. Got the 480 left.

  • interested in the 480gb sad, will pm

  • I had a 20d from about 2005 that was nudging 400k before it finally popped, and what did pop was repairable, but such old now that its not really worth it.
