For Sale: 531 touring/audax frame 54cm £70

  • very nicely made 531 touring/audax frame built by norman tingey for bobbie tingey.

54cm steat tube. 54.5cm top tube

The Frame has braze ons for cantilever brakes, mudguards, braze-ons for bar end shifters or brifters. it is an extremely well built frame. but i have too many frames, not enough room, so need to pass it on.

paint is not amazing, but the frame is sound and in great condition. it has been well looked after.

    sold

  • That's lovely! Is it 54 to top or center? Head tube looks a tad small for 54.

    glws

  • thanks,
54cm to top. measured it again to make sure. it is a quality frame that Tingey built for his son.

  • love the big letters and randonneur-style lining. Had I not found a bike for my gf yet I'd have been all over this. Good price too.

  • 531, no?

  • Headset and bottom bracket reasonable condition? very tempted, little small for me but nothing that seatpost and a long stem can't sort out....

  • yup 531. 27.2 seatpost. bargain price. like is said, i paid £70, that's all i want back.

  • the headset and bb are ok, i would strip and re-grease...............

  • even without the heasdet and bb, its a great price for a very well made frame.

  • Luckyskull, I'll buy it. Tell me where in London and we'll sort out a meetup.

  • For £70 as you've asked

  • How are you going to build this up?

  • i am also curious flintyrock. whats your plan for the build?

  • I'd like to make it into a super-light-weight tourer: 3spd Sturmey Archer laced to Mavic wheels, Nitto stem, riser bars, tektro canti brakes, Tubus rack, Turbo saddle, 28c Gatorskins of course.

  • i think this frame needs derailleurs though. build it up as is was designed.

  • this is now sold.

  • Nice frame
