Wanted: Bike travel box - wanted

Hi

I'm considering taking my bike to abroad early September. I've previously transported it by car, but this time I need to fly, so need to pack it safely. I'd like to use a bike travel box but even renting is pricey.

Does anyone have a box they no longer need for sale?

I have never understood why boxes are so expensive.

Mosquito have them to hire at forty quid a week which is the best I have seen I think. I'd like to take a bike to Italy next month but Ryanair want 60 quid each way....

Look at BA and alitalia, the do some great deals for transporting bikes.
